General Information

Practices – The Head Coach will request the practice day(s), location and time. Practices are granted to the coach on a first come basis. They will then be communicated to parents by the coach approximately 5-7 days before the first practice. Our U5 and U6 teams will practice once a week for 45-60 minutes. The U7 & U8 teams have an option of once or twice a week. U9 and older Recreational teams practice twice a week. U9 and U10 Junior Academy teams will practice 3 times a week.

Team Notification – You can expect a call or email from your child’s coach with your practice information approximately 5-7 days prior to the first practice.

Games – Our first In-House recreational games and Jr. Academy teams for the Fall typically begin the first weekend in September running through the end of October. For our Spring season the games typically begin towards the end of March and run through the middle of May. Each team will have 7 or 8 games in their season. Cubbies typically begin the one week later than recreational.

Recreational Head Coach Incentive - Head Coaches in our recreational program will receive a voucher emailed for 50% of their child’s paid season fees, not including ATS option, upon completion of the season. Only one voucher per team, per coach. Successful completion of the Volunteer Disclosure, Safe Sport and CDC online training is mandatory for coaches to receive this. All other volunteer roles are appreciated by Real CO, as well as the team, but will not be credited in any way.

Weather Cancellations – If weather is a concern for game time, we have several different ways to check for cancellations. Our website is updated by 3:00 pm on practice days and 7:00am on game days. We also can offer this information via phone recording, Facebook and Twitter. There can be no reimbursements for games or practices canceled due to weather, acts of God, or forfeits by opposing teams.

Team Formation – All players will be assigned to teams based on their birth year and gender. If registration is completed by the published deadline, priority will be given to return to their former team if requested. If no special requests were made or the deadline wasn’t made, we separate by the area in which you live, or the school closest to your house. Finally, we place our waitlist players on teams that need kids. We are never able to honor practice requests for certain days or times, as coaches don’t make their choices until a few weeks before the season begins. We cannot guarantee special requests but will certainly attempt to grant them. – Teams in our Junior Academy Program (U9 and U10) will be formed based on skill level of the player as demonstrated at tryouts.
