Junior Academy South

Real Colorado Junior Academy is a program for U8, U9 and U10 players that encourages them to compete in a competitive environment.  Players are selected and placed on teams by ability, performance, and mentality. We believe this program is a fun atmosphere for development to occur.

 

Fall 2025 tryout information for 2016 and 2017 birth years in the Junior Academy are posted below. If you are a 2015, you’re ready for our competitive program, which begins at U11. Please check out our U11 pre tryout camp to get ready!!

Junior Academy Tryouts - Fall 2025/Spring 2026

  • Get ready for competitive tryouts with our 2015 Pre-Tryout Camp— the perfect chance to train with next year’s coaches and make a strong impression!

  • These tryouts are open to all players in the 2016 age group.   Tryouts will be run by our Junior Academy Directors and all JA team coaches.   Please arrive 20-30 minutes prior to the tryout start time so we can make sure we get all players checked in.  All players who wish to be placed on a JA team must register for tryouts.  If you have a conflict and are unable to attend tryouts, please email your Junior Academy Director.   

    Dates and Location

    • Thursday, May 15th  at Redstone Park 

    • Tuesday, May 20th  at Heritage Park West Turf 

    • All players need to attend both dates.        

    Times:  

    • 2016 Girls 4:30pm-6:00pm 

    • 2016 Boys 6:30pm-8:00pm 

    Fee:  $75

  • Junior Academy is a more focused and select program in which players are placed on tiered teams.  This two-week camp will give players the opportunity to work with our Directors, Staff Coaches and team coaches in a positive learning environment.   We recommend that players attend both days of tryouts. All players who wish to be placed on a JA team must register for tryouts.   If you have a conflict and are unable to attend tryouts, please email your Junior Academy Director.  If you are interested in our Parker based JA teams you are also encouraged to attend our Sporting Tryout dates listed below

  • Our Parker-based Sporting teams are a part of Real Colorado’s Junior Academy, designed for young players ready to take the next step in their development. These teams offer a more advanced training environment with competitive games, and a continued focus on fun, learning, and growth.

    If your player has a passion for soccer and is eager for a higher level of play while staying close to home in the Parker area, this could be the perfect fit.

    Please note: All interested players must still register and attend our Junior Academy tryouts. Be sure to indicate your interest in a Parker-based Sporting team when prompted during registration.

Junior Academy Structure:

  • Each team is provided a Real Colorado paid coach

  • 3 trainings per week

  • 8 game league season in the Colorado Soccer Association Intermediate League

  • 2 tournaments per season

  • Players have the opportunities to move up or down throughout the year between seasons to best match their development growth.

  • Rosters can vary from team to team, but are usually 10-12 players to allow more playing time and promote upward player movement.
